The Collective Game.

Ceydf Books

In this volume 1.1. "The Collective Game" exposes and analyzes this concept as a whole, which includes all the manifestations that take place in the competition.

If we analyze a match in detail we will observe that the player manifests himself in:

  • Possession of the ball.
  • Individual fight actions without a ball (Tactics) to overcome or avoid being overtaken by direct "your opponent" (1:1, 2:1 and 1:2 situations in defense and attack).
  • "Automated actions", which are planned for each of the strategies (stopped ball actions, transitions, or use of the game style as a strategic resource against certain types of opposition of the opponent).
  • Collective actions, which are the most important manifestation both in quantity and quality of their activity, and which until now was not systematically contemplated in the field of training.

The coach must know both the differences that define each of these manifestations and the complex interactions that occur between them constantly in the competition, so that they manifest themselves in it effectively by each player, and especially by the team.

In this way the training, competition, and analysis of both, must be governed and referenced to each of these manifestations. This aspect again requires this in-depth knowledge on the part of the coach before starting the planning and activities of training and competition.
